HOW I WORK
My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, somatic approach. I understand many of the responses people bring to therapy as intelligent adaptations to what has been lived, endured, or required for survival.
What can look like “too much,” “not enough,” shutdown, overthinking, or reactivity often began as protection. I hold a lot of respect for these strategies and the wisdom within them.
Rather than pushing for change or insight alone, we work at the pace of your system. Healing unfolds in conditions of safety. Sessions often involve attuning to bodily sensations, emotions, images, memories, and inner responses, meeting them with curiosity. When we are curious, we create room for compassion.

I pay close attention to the body’s language. Many people have learned to override or mistrust these signals so part of our work may involve rebuilding that relationship, strengthening your capacity to notice, feel, and stay with your experience without becoming overwhelmed.

Together, we will create a supportive space for all of your parts. My intention is not to direct your path, but to walk with you as you reconnect with your capacity.

MY STORY
I am based in Cape Town, South Africa. My path into this work began with studies in Psychology and Anthropology at the University of Cape Town, followed by an Honours in Psychology at Rhodes University. During my thesis research, I became drawn to trauma healing and to understanding how trauma shapes our lives, both neurobiologically and relationally.

I am registered with the ASCHP as a Specialist Health and Wellness Counsellor. My experience spans community-based work, individual and couples counselling. I currently work primarily one-to-one with women in the therapeutic space, and I also offer workshops and movement-based sessions that are open to all.
Alongside counselling, I have trained in coaching, which brings a more action-oriented lens. I experience counselling as a space for depth, reflection, and meaning-making, while coaching supports clarity, direction, and forward movement. Integrating both allows the work to meet what is most needed in each moment.

I hold a strong belief that those in healing roles must remain committed to their own inner work. My personal practice includes movement, expressive arts, and ongoing self-inquiry through therapy and supervision, which continues to shape how I show up for my clients.

Supporting people to move toward greater freedom is at the heart of my work.
